My work with RTI involved: Technology related skill sharing, supporting projects and events with the general public, part of a hosting team for a 3 day programme for international visitors, and running DIY web workshops, while advocating the use of basic freeware technology.

Students For Sheffield [S4S] [Feb 1998 – March 1998]
S4S was an interactive community focused approach to developing individual learning through personal development and creative techniques. I took part in ‘Adventures in Learning’ a course in alterative learning and teaching techniques, which I utilised as an organizer and participant at a related event for young people.

HARC Sheffield / Archer Day Care Centre [Christmas 1996 & 1998]
Volunteer at HARC (Homeless & Rootless at Christmas) – activities included; socialising with visitors, serving meals and refreshments, cleaning up.

International Volunteer, Volunteers For Peace, Wisconsin USA [Sept 1996 – Nov 1996]
I worked in various ways to support families visiting incarcerated relatives in a nearby prison, and with all aspects of running a refuge for vulnerable women and children. Here I worked creativity with children to educate them in fun and useful ways.

Weekend Manager Oxfam Depot [week time volunteer], Handsworth Sheffield [1994 – 1995]
Responsibilities included opening and running the depot on Saturdays, organising people, dealing with simple money matters and general sorting.
